Bishop Michael G. Duca will be installed as the sixth Bishop of Baton Rouge at a special Mass here at the Cathedral at 2 pm on Friday, August 24, 2018. Expected to attend in addition to Archbishop Gregory Aymond of New Orleans and Bishop Robert Muench, the emeritus Bishop of Baton Rouge, and some 18 other bishops will be a representative from Archbishop Christophe Pierre, Papal Nuncio in the United States.

Admission to this ceremony will be by ticket only. A public ceremony to which all are invited and for which no tickets are necessary will be held the previous evening, on Thursday, August 23, at St. George Church in Baton Rouge (Seigen Lane at I-10) at 7 pm.
